Briedis and Glowacki semi finals set for June in Latvia

The World Boxing Super Series Cruiserweight semi final matchup between #1 seed Mairis Briedis (25-1,18KO), and #3 seed Krzysztof Glowacki (31-1, 19KO) is set for June 15 in Briedis’s hometown of Riga, Latvia.

Briedis last held home advantage when he suffered his lone loss by majority decision (115-113, 115-113, 114-114) to Oleksandr Usyk in a great semi final battle in last season’s tournament.

This past Novemeber, both Briedis and Glowacki won their quarterfinal matches by unanimous decision over Noel Mikaelian and Maksim Vlasov respectively, at the UIC Pavilion in Chicago, Illinois.
