A WARRIOR BACK IN ACTION

By Tre Berry

WBO Featherweight world Champion Oscar Valdez (24-0-0, 19KO) is one of the most entertaining boxers in all of boxing, and certainly one of its toughest Champions, most notably shown in his last fight when he went to war with Scott Quigg after Quigg broke his jaw.

On the undercard to Alvarez/Kovalev II on February 2nd, he will seek to make a successful 5th defense of his title, taking on undefeated, untested fellow Mexican Carmine Tommasome (19-0-0, 5KO). Valdez recently crossed paths and linked up with trainer Eddie Reynoso (Canelo Alvarez trainer) to sure up some of his fundamentals, and to add on to his arsenal, so he is also looking to try and showcase a new and improved version of himself to the viewers in attendance, and those watching on the ESPN+ app.
