Chop The Tree Down

P4P mainstay Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez (51 – 1 – 2, 35KO) wins tonight via 3rd round knockout over Rocky Fielding (27 – 2 – 1, 15KO).

In a fight that featured Rocky tasting the canvas 4 times, Canelo was very sharp with laser-like precision to the body, and landing virtually everything over a defenseless Fielding who came into the fight with an awful fight approach, opting to fight a massive bodypuncher like Canelo on the inside, and giving up his height by bending down, and not sticking behind the jab to utilize his 5 inch reach advantage.

Canelo, after the fight, kept the door open to all possibilities by essentially saying that he only wants to fight the best fights available from this point on, and that encompasses the entire landscape at both the Middleweight & Super-Middleweight divisions.
