Coronavirus strikes again. Top Heavyweight Alexander Povetkin (36-2-1, 25KO) reportedly is in the hospital right now after contracting the virus. We wish him well. His scheduled November 21st meeting with Dillian Whyte (27-2-0, 18KO) to make concrete the WBC mandatory for Tyson Fury has been rescheduled to January 30th, 2021.
It looked like 🥇🇷🇺Alexander “Sasha” Povetkin, could be finished off at any moment. The former WBA Heavyweight World Champion had been put down twice in the fourth round by 🇯🇲🇬🇧Dillian “The Body Snatcher” Whyte in the final Matchroom Fight Camp card Saturday, and didn’t appear to have any momentum on his side to pull a rabbit out of the hat.

As manifested, this was the best fight on the card, and these 2 Heavyweight contenders showed their worth at the top of the contender list as American 🇺🇸Michael “The Bounty” Hunter Jr. (18-1-1, 12KO👊) established himself as a threat early, and Russia’s 🥇🇷🇺Alexander Povetkin (35-2-1, 24KO👊) proved to be able to still perform consistently at the age of 40. While each fighter took turns having their moments, both fighters will have to deal with the reality that their Heavyweight Title eliminator match was rendered a DRAW by the judges.
