Some fighters defy logic with the way they’re able to see events 5 steps ahead of everyone else, whose reaction time is as quick as the flick of a light switch, and can adapt to anything presented in front of them with a natural acumen to their craft.

In boxing, I don’t think there’s a better example in the last half a century of this than the great 🥇🇺🇸Pernell “Sweet Pea” Whitaker (40-4-1, 17KO👊), who had the greatest reflexes displayed since the great Nicolino Locche, and superseded Locche’s ability by being able to counter routinely off of those insane angles and pivots that he would use to evade the onslaught of punches. “Sweet Pete” had very strong legs, which enabled him to cover a lot of ground which made his defensive acumen even scarier, and was the foundation of his overall attack. Caleb Plant Set for First Title Defense against Mike Lee

It’s been six months since we have seen Nashville,Tennessee native 🇺🇸Caleb Plant in action. That night, the man who goes by “Sweet Hands”, put them and his grit on full display as he took apart Venezuela’s power puncher Jose Uzcategui en route to leaving the ring with the vacant IBF Super Middleweight title.

Saturday night in Las Vegas, on the undercard to Pacquiao vs Thurman , Plant (18-0-0 10KO) will make the first defense of his title as he takes on Chicago’s 🇺🇸Mike Lee (21-0-0, 11KO) who will be moving down from 175 after 13 months out of the ring. Lee is getting his first crack at a world title and he will also be in his first 12 round bout in a 10 year career.
