Word has gotten out that 41 year old Russian Heavyweight perennial contender 🇷🇺Alexander “Sasha” Povetkin (36-3-1, 25KO) has retired from the sport of boxing. Povetkin was a Gold-Medalist, who medaled in the ◯◯◯◯◯2004 Athens Olympic games at Super-Heavyweight. Rest in peace to 🇯🇲🇬🇧Kirkland Laing, who passed away yesterday on June 9th, at the age of 66. You may know him best from his historical upset victory over Roberto Duran in 1982 – earning Ring-Magazine accolades for his win. He is often thought of as one of the best British fighters to win a world title, and was certainly one of the better fighters overall who never earned a trinket at the world level.
