The Show Must Go On, as Elite Champ Akhmadaliev Returns to Face Late Replacement Velasquez

Even with less than a double digit amount of fights in his professional career, unified WBA/IBF Super-Bantamweight titlist 🥉🇺🇿Murodjon “MJ” Akhmadaliev (9-0-0, 7KO👊) is one of the best fighters in the world, and is the leader of the live pack of outstanding talent that is beginning to burgeon from the country of Uzbekistan. With plenty of movement taking place at the top of the division, Murodjon (who is ranked 📖#1 by Ring-Magazine at 122 lbs.) will look to keep fresh in the minds of the watchers the level of threat he commands when he is inside the ring.

He was originally billed to fight 📖#9 ranked Ring-Magazine world contender 🇺🇸Ronny Rios, but Rios contracted Covid-19, and was forced to pull out of the assignment for obvious reasons. The replacement opponent for this big assignment will be Chilean boxer 🇨🇱Jose Velasquez (29-6-2, 19KO👊), who has defeated every opponent he has faced dating back to 2015. Though those victories have come against regional talent, he appears to be a good choice to take on the opportunity on short notice, to keep the show going.

As for Akhmadaliev, this will be for his second title defense of his world title belts since his outstanding performance against 122 lb. elite 🇺🇸Danny Roman, whom he snatched the belts from in January of 2020 by Split Decision. To see Akhmadaliev vs Velasquez, tune into 💻DAZN’s streaming platform. Be mindful that it is a Friday night fight that takes place on November 19th. The contest will take place at 🏟️SNHU Arena in Manchester, New Hampshire, USA.
