Joe Smith Completes the Unexpected Dream, Wins Vacant World Title by Beating Vlasov in Contested Fight

Long Islands posterboy for the working class 🇺🇸Joe Smith Jr. (27-3-0, 21KO👊) wins the WBO Light-Heavyweight title after defeating 🇷🇺Maxim Vlasov (45-4-0, 26KO👊) by majority decision in a great fight in Tulsa, Oklahoma Saturday night.  Judge Dave Sutherland scored the bout 114-114 while judges Pat Russell and Gerald Ritter overruled him with scores of 115-113 and 115-112.
