Gold-Medal Watch – Dusmatov Puts Division on Notice With Stoppage Over Kizota in the Second Round

The Light-Flyweight division has some very interesting moving parts. To open up the loaded card in Uzbekistan, 2016 Rio Olympic Gold-Medalist 🥇🇺🇿Hasanboy Dusmatov (3-0-0, 3KO👊) showed a small sample of his skill, timing, and change of pace maneuvers, to beat 🇹🇿Muhsin Kizota (11-3-0, 5KO👊) by way of second round stoppage.

The small lefty kept the pressure on from the get-go, and as the first solid punch landed, Kizota got happy feet, and fought scared the rest of the way. With this stoppage, the 27 year old contender picked up a secondary belt, that being the WBA International Light-Flyweight strap, which merely signifies that he is already on the divisions radar for more important fights – we will keep an eye on him going forward.
