A very interesting bout that hasn’t been talked about much is happening tomorrow, and it will take place in Newcastle, Australia. Native son of a former boxing legend, ๐ฆ๐บTim Tszyu (17-0-0, 13KO
) is the spitting image of his father Kostya, but he has picked himself up by his own boot straps, and has turned himself into a serious budding contender in the Super-Welterweight division, and his journey is only starting, as he continuously improves upon his craft.
His opponent ๐ฎ๐ชDennis Hogan (28-3-1, 7KO), though Irish, has also taken up residence in Australia, so people in the country will be in for a treat tomorrow. Hogan was largely unheralded throughout coming up in the ranks, but he worked himself into position to fight for the WBO Title against Jaime Munguia – a fight that most people felt like Hogan won, and should’ve been looked at as a world belt-holder.
Because of this, most people personally feel like he only lost 2 fights – that being his previous fight against the talented Jermall Charlo at 160 lbs., and Jack Culcay dating back to 2015.
The mature youngster Tszyu (he is 26) wants to shine here, and would welcome a big fight to come his way, as this bout does have some implications towards the winner securing himself on the shortlist to fight for a Super-Welterweight title against either division Kingpin RING/WBA/WBC/IBF World Champion ๐บ๐ธJermell Charlo, or against superbly skilled WBO beltholder ๐ฆ๐ทBrian Carlos Castaรฑo in the near future.
