Prospect Watch: Xander Zayas Looks to Continue Climb on Friday Night Telemundo Card

Highly touted Puerto Rican Welterweight 🇵🇷Xander Zayas will be back in action Friday night on Boxeo Telemundo. It hasn’t been too long since we last saw Zayas in action, as he is coming off of the fifth win of his young career, a first round knockout of Orlando Salgado on September 4th, the night before he turned 18.

Zayas (5-0-0, 4KO) will face 🇺🇸Anthony Curtiss (2-5-0, 2KO), a 36 year old native of Butte, Montana, who has fallen short in his last four outings. The scheduled four rounder will serve as undercard to the 10 round Super-Lightweight main event between Puerto Rico’s 🇵🇷Emanuel Colon (17-1-1, 16KO) and Mexico’s 🇲🇽Antonio Moran (25-4-1, 18KO).

The 28 year old Colon has won his last three fights all by knockout, while Moran is 1-1-1 in his last three outings, the most notable being when he was the victim of the 2019 Combat Project Knockout of the Year delivered by Devin Haney.

The card will be held at Osceola Heritage Park in Kissimmee, Florida. The Telemundo broadcast begins at 12am ET/ 9pm PT.
