The Sniper Looks to Lock In On the Untouchable

Respected former two-division titlist 🇵🇷Jose “Sniper” Pedraza (27-3-0, 13KO) will be Top-Rank’s headliner this week.  Accompanying him to the ring will be 🇺🇸Javier “El Intocable” Molina (22-2-0, 9KO), who is one fight removed from his career victory over once-revered former world title challenger 🇺🇸Amir Imam to get to this position.

Wherever Pedraza goes, and whenever you see him scheduled to put the gloves on, you can expect a good fight, and it is expected that he will face healthy competition, a notion backed by his resume of recent years, ranging from top-contenders, titlists, and even fighting the best in the world, with Pedraza holding his own and faring off well in all of those contest, with mixed official results.

Pedraza won his last fight over 🇹🇹🇺🇸Mikkel LesPierre  in a rebound performance after shifting up a division to fight elite Junior-Welterweight 🇺🇸Jose Zepeda, whom he lost to by unanimous decision, his welcoming party to the division after operating for a lengthy time at Lightweight.

Back in 2016, Molina dropped a decision to 🇺🇸Jamal James at Welterweight.  Back in his normal element, Molina worked his way to a notable fight against Amir Imam, and seized the opportunity, making his name more attractable to the upper echelon fighters in the division to target.

He now has a chance to do it again, but he may need a career effort in order to get the job done here.  This fight is going up on the 💻ESPN+ streaming application, and will take place on Saturday, September 19th.  They will fight at “The Bubble” in the 🎰MGM Grand, Las Vegas, Nevada.

WEIGH IN RESULTS

Jose Pedraza-141.5 lbs

Javier Molina-141.7 lbs
