Inoue Has His Target Date For a Comeback, and Has His Opponent 📰

Beware, “Godzilla” is back…and he is looking to wreak havoc and breathe fire back in the Bantamweight division.  Standing as thee Champion of the division 👑🇯🇵Naoya “Monster” Inoue (19-0-0, 16KO👊) has an opponent to make his return to the ring on since covid’s abrupt upheaval, and that opponent is #6 ranked Ring-Magazine contender 🇦🇺Jason Moloney (21-1-0, 18KO) of Australia.

This will be Inoue’s official inaugural introduction as a new addition to 🕴️Bob Arum’s Top-Rank Promotions, and they hope to anticipate the 27 year old boxing prodigy delivers his usual bang, for business purposes. The fight will be held on Halloween, October 31st. Moloney is a quality fighter who has only lost once as a pro, that loss coming to another high ranking Bantamweight in 🇵🇷Manny Rodriguez during the WBSS Tournament; A close fight that resulted in split-decision defeat for Moloney.

Jason Moloney wasn’t initially Inoue’s original opponent, as he and 🇵🇭John Riel Casimero looked to be on a unification collision course before the pandemic spearheaded out of control.  Inoue’s RING/WBA/IBF Titles were to be on the line, while Casimero’s WBO belt was to be thrown in the sweepstakes as well, but things fell apart given some uncertainties surrounding the times.

If Inoue clears his assignment against Moloney, it appears highly likely that Inoue vs. Casimero will be next to follow…of course that is if Casimero clears his own test of an assignment against WBO ranked Ghanaian fighter 🇬🇭Duke Micah.
