McCaskill Wants to Deliver the First Lady Her First Loss, While Brækhus Has an Eye on History

Following the acclaim of Terri Harper & Natasha Jones, a major bout is up the following week for the women’s portion of the sport.  Unified Junior-Welterweight Titlist 🇺🇸Jessica McCaskill (8-2-0, 3KO👊) will take a huge gamble, moving up a weight class to combat against legendary Undefeated, Undisputed RING/WBA/WBC/WBO/IBF Welterweight Champion Of the World ♛🇨🇴🇳🇴Cecilia “First Lady” Brækhus (36-0-0, 9KO👊) this Saturday in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

REASONS TO WATCH: Cecilia Brækhus has been boxing professionally for the last 13 years, and has done so without suffering a loss, and completely dominating her division, collecting all of the belts.  With many of her accomplishments already in the record books, she has more history that she could make with the victory here.  When discussing the small contingent qualified for the G.W.O.A.T (Greatest woman of all time) conversation, any list loses credibility if she isn’t on it.

Something to continuously keep an eye on, she is 1-month shy of 39 years old.  While she hasn’t shown any signs of slowing down, one wonders when she could hit a possible wall.  She has a new Trainer to guide her in the later stages of her career, that being revered 🗣️Trainer Abel Sanchez.  Brækhus has stated that her time training in Big Bear has benefit her training, and conditioning.  She is looking to make the 26th consecutive defense as a Titlist, and is defending her Undisputed credentials for the 11th total time.  History in live time is a strong enough reason to tune in, especially when her opponent is quality.

Jessica McCaskill has strong stake at 140 lbs.  After losing to the great ♛🥇🇮🇪Katie Taylor in her first opportunity in a title fight at Lightweight, she stepped up a division and immediately went for a title there in which she won over then-WBC titleholder 🇦🇷Erika Farias.  Jessica went for immediate title unification in her next fight, which was against 🇦🇷Anahi Ester Sanchez, and McCaskill came out victorious.  Seeking the biggest challenge she could face in her given state, she decided to take the gamble up to see a dominant Champion.  McCaskill has made a statement in saying that a win over Brækhus would ensure her place in the Hall-of-Fame, so with the stakes high, she is looking to roll the dice and see what she can pull off.

This bout will headline on 🖥️DAZN, tune in on Saturday, August 15th.
