Prospect Watch: Raymond Ford

By Jon Uddin

Featherweight prospect 🇺🇸Raymond Ford (4-0-0, 1KO), ends his first year in the professional ranks against 🇺🇸Francisco Muro (3-6-0, 0KO) in a six round Featherweight bout. The fight takes place Friday night on the undercard to the Super-Middleweight headliner between Daniel Jacobs and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. at Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix, Arizona.

The 20 year old southpaw from Camden, New Jersey, last fought in September when he took a four round unanimous decision over Rafael Castillo. Next he faces Tucson, Arizona’s Muro, who had been out of the ring since 2016 before stepping back in this past May for his lone fight since. Muro lost all four rounds on the judges cards, putting him in the ring this weekend on a three fight losing streak. This is will be the first fight over four rounds for Ford so we’ll see if Muro can provide some solid work and rounds for Ford to close out 2019. Catch Raymond Ford in action against Francisco Muro at 7:30pm ET/4:30pm PT on DAZN.
