Undefeated rising Heavyweight prospect 🇳🇬Efe Ajagba (11-0-0, 9KO) looks to remain perfect against Georgia’s 🇬🇪lago Kiladze (26-4-1, 18KO) Saturday, as their ten round bout serves as the undercard to the grudge match between WBC Super-Welterweight Champion Tony Harrison and Jermell Charlo, at the Toyota Arena in Ontario, California.
For Ajagba, this will be his fourth and final fight of 2019, a year where the 25 year old from Nigeria stopped his first two opponents and most recently fought to a unanimous decision win over previously undefeated Turkish heavy Ali Eren Demirezen.
Now Ajagba, who stands 6’6″ and carries an 85″ wingspan will continue to hone his skills against 33 year old Kiladze who seems to be the perfect fighter to do just that. In his only fight of the year Kiladze fought to a split decision draw against Robert Johnson on the Wilder-Breazeale undercard. Previous to that, he dropped three straight in 2018 against Adam Kownacki, Michael Hunter and Joe Joyce, falling by knockout in all attempts.
This fight sets up perfectly for Ajagba to fine tune anything his camp feels je needs, specifically using his size and reach to his advantage while not smothering his own work. Closing out the year with a knockout victory is icing on the cake, but it’s what makes the Heavyweights must see tv, and it seems the percentages are high that it can happen here. Catch Ajagba vs Kiladze Saturday at 8pm ET/5pm PT on FOX.
