One of the Light-Flyweight divisions elite is slated to return to the ring, with undefeated WBC Titlist 🇯🇵Kenshiro Taraji (16-0-0, 9KO👊) returning to the squared circle. The 27 year old Champion is looking to extend his lengthy World Title stint, looking to make his 7th defense against perennial Filipino top contender 🇵🇭Randy Petalcorin (31-3-1, 23KO👊). This bout was originally slated to be a Title Unification between Kenshiro & IBF Titlist 🇳🇮Felix Alvarado, however Alvarado had to pull out due to a lung illness of some sort, so Petalcorin stepped in for the opportunity, and the show was to remain scheduled as is.
Kenshiro last fought on October 12th, where he put up an impressive TKO performance over Jonathan Taconing of the Philippines. Throughout his tenure at Championship level, he has defeated sound competition, consisting of Ganigan Lopez twice, Pedro Guevara, and a dominant performance over quality former Champion Milan Melindo. He has his eyes set on bigger goals, but one day at a time, as Petalcorin comes in looking to finally make an official push towards becoming a Champion. Randy’s previous loss came against Felix Alvarado (whom Kenshiro was supposed to face) for what was his lone shot at a Title.
