(Filling up Her Trophy Case With Titles)
BOXER: 🥇🇮🇪“Irish”Katie Taylor🇮🇪🥇
FEAT ACCOMPLISHED: Becoming the First Woman to Hold 6 Title Belts at the Same Time
THE PATH TO THE GOAL:📈 Legacy is the only thing that drives Ireland legend 🥇🇮🇪Katie Taylor (15-0-0, 6KO👊), and she has been achieving the pinnacle reward throughout her time in the sport, dating back to her early origins of he extensive amateur career. Earning an otherworldly record breaking 17 Gold-Medals in various amateur World Championships and in National Tournaments, she capped her glory off with her greatest boxing accomplishment in winning 🥇Olympic-Gold in the ◯◯◯◯◯2012 London Games.
At this current juncture, Katie has won 6 World Title belts in her career at 2 weight classes, and she is currently in possession of all of them as we speak, which is a new record set in the world of women’s boxing. Katie Taylor officially turned professional in late 2016, and won her first World Title 11 months after (I’m not entirely sure if that is a record, though it very well might be).
That opportunity came in only her 7th fight when she won the vacant WBA Lightweight Title against 🇦🇷Anahi Ester Sanchez. That would be the final “vacant” Title that Taylor would win, as she targeted the rest of the Champions. In the next 6 fights, she would dominate and eradicate her opponents, picking up the IBF and WBO Lightweight Titles to pair with her WBA belt, clearing out names such as 🇺🇸Jessica McCaskill, 🇵🇷Cindy Serrano, 🇫🇮Eva Wahlstrom and 🇧🇷Rose Volante. Katie Taylor would pick up her 4th and 5th Titles upon becoming Undisputed Lightweight World Champion after her razor close war against 🇧🇪Delfine Persoon. Sitting with all the belts at 135 lbs., she had her eyes set on more hardware.
This passing Saturday, Katie fought her first bout at Junior-Welterweight, immediately targeting 140 lb WBO World Titlist 🇺🇸Christina Linardatou. It was a good fight, but Taylor’s great out-weighed Linardatou’s good, and it was a convincing performance that dawned a new Champion, with Taylor making history winning her 6th Title, while reigning as an Undisputed Champion at the ⚖️weight class below. Is Katie Taylor the best female fighter in the world? well, that’s for you to decide…but many people believe that she is, and she has put together an outstanding career in her 15 fights that has her on the precipice of all-time status, as she is on a journey to try and become the G.W.O.A.T. 📍(greatest woman boxer of all-time).
