Prospect Watch: Ali Akhmedov

Undefeated Kazakh Super-Middleweight prospect 🇰🇿Ali Akhmedov (15-0-0, 11KO) continues his climb up the ladder Saturday as he steps in the ring for his third fight of 2019.

This past June the 24 year old Akhmedov made fairly quick work of Marcus McDaniel, stopping the New Orleans native in three rounds on the undercard of Golovkin’s fight with Steve Rolls. This weekend he will face 33 year old 🇺🇸Andrew “Hurricane” Hernandez (20-7-2, 9KO) of Phoenix, Arizona, who last fought to a majority decision draw October of last year.

Akhmedov is a protege of Gennadiy Golovkin fighting under the banner of GGG promotions and is also led by Golovkin’s head man Jonathan Banks. Akhmedov will be defending his WBC International Silver Super-Middleweight Title in the 10 round bout on DAZN starting at 7pm ET/4pm PT.
