Bragging rights in Australia are at stake Saturday when former Welterweight Titlist 🇦🇺Jeff Horn (19-1-1, 13KO) faces fellow countryman 🇦🇺Michael Zerafa (26-3-0, 15KO) in a 12 round Middleweight bout at Bendigo Stadium in Victoria, Australia.
For Horn there is even more on the line as he has been named as the next opponent for WBA “regular” Middleweight Champion Ryota Murata in December should he beat Zerafa Saturday.
Horn is two years removed from his highly controversial win over Manny Pacquiao and has since gone 2-1 in the ring including a loss to Terence Crawford and steam rolling Anthony Mundine in the first round of his last fight back in November of 2018.
As for Zerafa, he won his last fight by knockout over Lee Sherrington after dropping a hard fought unanimous decision to Kell Brook last December. Zerafa’s other two losses came to Arif Magomedev in 2014 and Peter Quillin by 5th round knockout in 2015.
