It is a joy to see IBF Super-Featherweight Titlist 🇺🇸Tevin “American Dream” Farmer (30-4-1, 6KO) box from a purists perspective, and tonight he had a relatively easy time in out boxing and out boxing 🇫🇷Guillaume Frenois (46-2-1, 12KO) for the wide unanimous decision victory.
In what was Farmer’s 4th successful Title defense, Farmer showcased why he is the slickest defensive fighter in all of boxing, making Frenois miss all of his major shots, barely getting hit with much of anything, and had a sequence in the 7th round where Farmer was trapped in the corner, yet still evaded all of about 15 punches thrown by Frenois, a page out of the late great Pernell Whitaker’s book. Farmer often left the Frenchman confused as to how to attack, and approach the situations that Farmer constantly put him in. Tevin targeted the body often, peppered the right jab up top to control range, and countered whenever Frenois would telegraph what he was throwing. A night made routinely easy, Tevin can now focus his attention to possible Title unification opportunities in the Super-Featherweight division.
