Chisora & Szpilka Hope to Steal the Show in Crossroads Bout

British Heavyweight 🇬🇧Dereck Chisora (30-9-0, 21KO) and Poland’s 🇵🇱Artur Szpilka (22-3-0, 15KO) are headed to what is expected to be a flat out brawl that could steal the show as the undercard to Dillian Whyte vs Oscar Rivas at the O2 Arena in London on Saturday.

Neither fighter can afford a loss here in what is a fight to keep any hopes of contention in the division alive. Chisora will definitely want the action to be high after his decision win over Senad Gashi in April fell flat in fans eyes.  Add to that Eddie Hearn who promotes Chisora is already talking about the possibility of Chisora fighting former WBO World Champion Joseph Parker afterwards this fall.

After back to back losses to Deontay Wilder and Adam Kownacki both by knockout, Artur Szpilka has reeled off two wins in a row. Both wins came in his native Poland and the first came against Dominik Guinn in May of 2018 followed by defeating Mariusz Wach in November. The rough southpaw wants to make Chisora his third in a row and find his way back to relevance in the division.

Szpilka hears the talk of Chisora vs Parker and is unfazed by being overlooked and intends to use it to his advantage Saturday in enemy territory.

“I know that people are talking about Chisora fighting Jospeh Parker this autumn and I know Derek and his manager David Haye are trying to get under my skin by mentioning this, but I don’t want to get involved in this trash talk too much. I’ll answer them on Saturday. My fists will do the talking!”
