Former WBO Heavyweight World Champion 🇳🇿Joseph Parker (26-2, 20 KO) won by a dominating 10th round TKO over Australia’s 🇦🇺Alex Leapai (32-8-4, 26 KO) in his debut with DAZN Saturday night on the Andrade/Sulecki undercard in Providence, Rhode Island.
Parker picks up his second consecutive win since losing his unification fight with Anthony Joshua in 2018 by decision, which was followed by a decision loss to Dillian Whyte. He now hopes to be in the picture for another shot at a world title. Parker defeated current WBA, IBF and WBO Heavyweight Champion Andy Ruiz by unanimous decision back in 2016 in a hometown bout in New Zealand.
Currently Parker sits at #6 in the WBC rankings and #14 on the IBF list. He isn’t listed by the WBA or WBO.
