Demetrius Andrade & Maciej Sulecki Face off in Rhode Island

The other man that holds a belt at Middleweight, WBO Titlist 🇺🇸Demetrius “Boo Boo” Andrade (27-0-0, 17KO) will take on soundly skilled Polish fighter 🇵🇱Maciej Sulecki (28-1-0, 11KO) this Saturday on June 29th at a location in Providence, Rhode Island, USA.

Sulecki back in March propelled himself into this position to fight Andrade by getting past talented journeyman 🇺🇸Gabe Rosado to win the International WBO Title, which is a secondary variation of a minor Title designed to grant you more claim to fight for the real WBO Belt. Sulecki, while he won the fight was nearly knocked out, being put down twice in real peril, but he endured the onslaught and came out the victor there over Rosado, propelling himself to this position. The only fight that Sulecki lost in his professional career was to 🇺🇸Daniel “Miracle Man”Jacobs, however he made it a somewhat competitive affair and showed what he was capable of doing on a big stage, despite the loss. He will face someone arguably as naturally talented all-around in Andrade, so we will see what can come with a second chance in as many Title shots.
.
Demetrius Andrade after his inactivity a couple years back has been hellbent on trying to make a grandstand in the Middleweight division, and putting himself in a proper position so that the major talents who generate high revenue would have to fight him so that they can get to where they want to get to. Andrade so far has done that in going the WBO route, and winning that World Title in October of last year. With thee Middleweight Champion of the World 🇲🇽Saul “Canelo” Alvarez expressing interest in trying to become Undisputed Champion, he would have to secure a fight with Andrade (or whoever holds the WBO Belt by that time) to make it happen. For Demetrius though in the short term, he has to take care of business, and do so in a grand fashion to shift the attention his way. He has been his own worst enemy in looking to only secure the victory, instead of trying to show out, going above & beyond in fights in which he had clear command in, and had a sizable skill advantage in. A strong performance here would not only raise the pot, but it would finally get him the major opportunity that he has been coveting. Tune into DAZN live on Saturday night.
