On July 13th, Mexico’s Rey Vargas (33-0, 22 KOs), the 28 year old WBC Super Bantamweight champion holder will defend his title against number 1 contender and former WBO World Bantamweight champion Tomoki “El Mexicanito” Kameda (36-2, 20 KOs) of Japan.
This will be the second time Vargas gas been in the ring this year since defeating Franklin Manzanilla of Venezuela by UD 12 in February.
For Kameda, this will be his first fight of the year. He was last seen in November of 2018 winning a 12 round unanimous decision over Spain’s Abigail Medina.
The fight will take place at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California on Saturday, July 13 and will be streamed live on DAZN.
