Acclaimed former 2-division World Titlist Jose ‘Sniper’ Pedraza (25-2-0, 12KO) will fight on the undercard of Ito/Herring, and he will face off against Mexican fighter Antonio Lozada Jr. (40-2-1, 34KO), who last year knocked out once highly touted prospect Felix Verdejo in an upset victory which culminated a strong performance from the Mexican boxer.
Pedraza seems to have graduated to another level in his last 3 fights, and was shown in full bloom against Ray Beltran, whom he took the WBO Lightweight Title from. Though he lost in a wide decision against Vasiliy Lomachenko, he showed incredible foot movement and skills that kept Lomachenko shifting his game plan, which was complimented by Vasiliy after the bout.
Pedraza now has a chance with a bigger Spotlight to prove to the viewers that he is a fighter who be reckoned with when it comes to the rest of the talent atop the Lightweight division. He will be pressed by Lozada who is a tough minded come forward fighter who looks to keep the pressure on you, so this one could be intriguing.
