Billy Joe Saunders Defeats Shefut Isufi, Once Again Becomes a Titlist

At Lamex Stadium in Stevenage, British southpaw Billy Joe Saunders (28-0-0, 13KO) cruised past Shefat Isufi (27-4-2, 20KO) of Serbia, to win the WBO World Super Middleweight title…

becoming a two division World Champion. Saunders won the belt vacated by Gilberto Ramirez by unanimous decision with scores of 120-108, 118-110, and 117-111.


On the undercard, British heavyweight Joe Joyce, 33, remains perfect 9-0-0, 9KO, after beating up 42 year old Russian heavy Alexander Ustinov (34-4-0, 25KO) in 3 rounds.  We will see Joyce in action again this summer as he is already scheduled to return on July 13, on the Daniel Dubois-Nathan Gorman undercard at the O2 Arena.
