On Saturday, 21 year old British Heavyweight prospect Daniel Dubois (10-0, 9KO) will take to the ring for the second time in 2019 when he takes on Richard Lartey (14-1, 11KO) of Ghana.
A win for Dubois should set up a highly anticipated matchup with fellow British heavyweight Joe Joyce which has been mandated for the British heavyweight title.
Dubois was last seen in March delivering a 2nd round knockout against Razvan Cojanu in London. Lartey last fought in December of 2018 in Accra, when he stopped Morris Okola in 10 rounds to win the vacant WBO Africa Heavyweight title.
For Lartey, the fight at Wembley will be only his second fight outside of his native Accra, Ghana. He has stated in interviews that he has been an avoided man in the heavyweight division and intends on playing spoiler against Dubois to get the respect he feels he deserves.
The fight can be seen Saturday on the ESPN+ app.
