Talented Lightweight world contender Teofimo ‘El Brooklyn’ Lopez (13-0-0, 11KO) got off to a slow start, but eventually broke down his target and found his opponent Edis Tatli (31-2-0, 10KO) with a well placed right cross to the ribs that put Tatli away for the 10-count in the 5th round last night.
Tatli’s game plan was to stick and move, which worked for a little while, before Teo figured out his predictable moment, and started to impose his will on the challenger from Finland.
Lopez has had better performances than this one in his short pro career, but he ultimately got the job done and is looking forward to bigger endeavors.
