Former Middleweight world titlist Peter ‘Kid Chocolate’ Quillin (34-1-1, 23KO) has had an interesting return to boxing after his setback loss to elite Middleweight Daniel ‘Miracle Man’ Jacobs back in 2015, taking 2 years off and silently dealing with depression due to personal circumstances that he kept hidden until his revelation to the world last year.
Quillin moved up a weight class in hopes of once again becoming a World Champion at this late stage of his career, and has performed at a decent, steady level while getting by a couple of decent fighters. This will be his toughest assignment to date on his comeback trail.
Former Super-Middleweight titlist Caleb Truax (30-4-2, 19KO) has been itching to get another shot at a World Title after his back-to-back match-up with recently retired James DeGale, in which Truax took the title in the first fight, then lost it back to James.
Truax doesn’t do anything spectacular, but he’s one of those type of guys who is pretty good all across the board in most areas. This fight appears to be an even-ish type of match all across the board. We will see if that is so to be the case on Saturday, April 13th. Tune in to FS1 network for this co-main event match.
