VIC SALUDAR’S TITLE DEFENSE IN TOKYO

Minimumweight WBO titlist Vic Saludar (19-3-0, 10KO) successfully defended his world title for the first time by defeating WBO #2 challenger Masataka Taniguchi (11-3-0, 7KO) by way of unanimous decision.

Saludar had control for the most of the fight, and put together a sustained attack that was a little too much for the Japanese challenger to compete with. Here were the judges scorecards.
Luis Ruiz = 118 – 110 for VIC SALUDAR
Chris Tellez = 117 – 111 for VIC SALUDAR
Surat Soikrachang = 117 – 111 for VIC SALUDAR
