BROOKLYN FAVORITE BLITZES THROUGH THE COMPETITION

By Tre Berry

Arguably Brooklyn’s most popular fighter, the proud Polish-born, Brooklyn resident Adam Kownacki (19-0-0, 15KO) demolished veteran Heavyweight contender Gerald Washington (19-3-1, 12KO) stopping him in the 2nd round via TKO, putting him down in the round while walking through Washington’s defense. Referee Harvey Dock was hesitant in whether he wanted to let Washington continue or not, but he gave him a chance, but quickly stopped it after he had no defense for what was coming, or had the where-with-all to fire anything back. This was Kownacki’s 8th fight that he won in the Barclay’s Center.
