Horn Blasts Mundine Out In First Round

Jeff Horn bounced back from his title fight loss to Terence Crawford with a easy dispatching of the overmatched, 43 year old Anthony Mundine who as many knew, took on one more fight than he should have before calling it a career.

Right from the opening bell Jeff Horn proved to be too powerful, going right at Mundine, attacking with aggressive work that included hard hooks to the body before landing a left hand directly on the point of Mundine’s chin which put him down and out at the 1:36 mark of the first round. After the fight Mundine thanked the crowd in Brisbane for their support throughout his career. He was asked “Is this it?” Mundine simply replied “It is. It’s over.”

Jeff Horn is now 19-1-1, 13KO

Anthony Mundine 48-9-0, 28KO
